It’s not hard to tell that family means the world to Krista and Cory, as their kids are present in all aspects of their wedding day. A marriage isn’t just about the couple, it’s about family coming together to celebrate love and that is exactly what this couple did.

From the Bride …

“Cory and I met when he had first applied where I worked – I remember him walking in and I was the one to take his resume. Soon after we had started working together it was clear that he had a huge crush on me and everyone knew. It was pretty cute. Cory was the most persistent guy I had ever met, he asked me numerous times to hang out, and do things. I liked Cory as a friend but really wasn’t interested at the time, then one day when Cory asked me to go for a walk with his dog, I gave in. He knew I had a love of animals and I guess today he has our boy Rocky to thank.

Not long after we starting hanging out, I took off to Australia to do some traveling and this was how and when I truly fell in love with Cory. We chatted everyday through MSN, texting and Skype.
Being away from one another and chatting long distance it was easy to learn so much about one another, and finally I had fallen hard for the nice guy!

When I arrived home and fulfilled my need to travel, Cory and I wasted no time, we spent everyday together and it wasn’t long after we were expecting a baby boy. In a blink of an eye our world changed so fast, it had all fallen into place exactly as life had planned for us.

We took a trip before our son was born, to New york. Here we are in the big city and me with my big belly it was a trip to remember. As we were walking into Tiffanys on Fifth Ave I remember it like it was yesterday as Cory said my name and as I turned around he had an empty Tiffanys Ring Box and was proposing to me!

It was like a dream or something out of a movie, I got to go in and pick out my engagement ring!
I wanted the ring and more than the big crazy wedding, and for close to 5 years and two kids later, Cory and I stayed engaged before we finally started wedding planning.

Planning a wedding with two small kids is one of the hardest things, but most rewarding to know that they get to be apart of it all. I honestly do not know how brides could plan a wedding today without the use of Pinterest. This is where most of my ideas came from.

We had an intimate wedding with 50 of our closest friends and family. We wanted to keep things casual with a relaxed feel, and I think we accomplished that with our outdoor reception surrounded by a fire, music, late night pizza and to top off the night a huge fireworks display.

My wedding holds so many personal memories for me, as my Mom and I did the decor ourselves. She had hand made all the crochet banners and the hanging lace hoops. It was an amazing feeling to see our hard work all come together.

My favorite moment of our wedding was Cory and I reading our own vows and how personal it made the ceremony as well as with having our children by our side.

My advice to other brides would be, to remember the day will all come together perfectly. You might notice things that do not go as planned, but for the guests they won’t know the difference anyways so don’t stress!”
